World Mental Health Day

This year’s Mental Health Day is focusing on Suicide prevention. As I was preparing the material for the session, I was shocked and disturbed at the figures I found. Did you know that every 40 seconds someone loses their life to suicide? Did you know that for every successful suicide, there are 20 failed suicide attempts?

At Know-How Training, we feel the responsibility towards our community to raise awareness of the needed issues. We hosted an Art for wellbeing session that shinned the light on mental health and gave the participants the keys to achieving the chain of excellence. During this session, we explored the link on how our breathing affects our physiology, physiology shift changes our state and a changed state affects our performance. On most days, we are so busy in our day to day lives that sometimes we forget to breath. That’s why it is curtail that we take a step back and take 5 deep breaths from the abdominal.

The participants also explored the process we go through when we create our reality and the importance of making sure that your values are aligned with things around you in order to avoid internal conflict. As Wayne dyer said: If you change the way look at things, the things will look at you differently.
